How wages are worked out from the muster roll

1. Man-days = (full days + half days × 0.5) × number of workers.
2. Wages earned = man-days × daily wage, plus overtime hours × overtime rate for each worker.
3. Payable = wages earned − advances given during the period.

Overtime is usually paid at twice the ordinary hourly rate: a ₹900, 8-hour day gives ₹112.50 an hour, so ₹225 an hour for overtime.
